What a fantastic 2 days! ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the We Make Music Scotland National Music Education Conference at the start of the month. It was wonderful to see so many people coming together to share ideas, learn from one another, and bring such great energy and enthusiasm to the days.

A special thank you to all of our presenters and facilitators for sharing your expertise, insights and time and to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for hosting us so wonderfully and making us feel so welcome. 💙

These images really capture the energy, connection and conversations that made the conference so special.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making it such a memorable event.

Until next year! 👋

Yesterday, the instructors were treated to another Big Band by the wonderful young musicians from East Ayrshire Council. Two big bands in two days - how lucky are they?! 🎺🎷🪊

🎓 Are you aged 16–18 and have you taken - or are preparing to take - ABRSM Grade 8?

Or do you know a young musician who fits this description? Please do share this survey with them - we’d love to hear their views!

ABRSM is exploring how advanced music study is understood and valued by universities around the world, and what matters to young musicians when choosing where and what to study.

Whether they plan to study music or pursue a completely different subject, their perspective will help us understand how universities could better recognise musical achievement through admissions, scholarships, credit and placement.

The survey takes around 5–7 minutes to complete: 🔗 https://ow.ly/698a50Zri61

Thank you for helping us work towards ensuring young musicians’ achievements are recognised and valued. 🎶
