๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ New exhibition alert!

Every picture tells a story, but you have to look closely to find it. That's exactly what we did with one painting from 1879, and it turned out to hold far more than we expected.

The exhibition opens this Thursday and has been put together in partnership with Scottish Canals. It traces the story of the Forth & Clyde Canal through Maryhill, from its 18th century engineering right up to the work shaping its future today.

Pop in and see it for yourselves, 13 August to 11 October.

Bittersweet today as we close the doors on the Partick Thistle FC: 150 Anniversary exhibition. It's been a pleasure having the incredible PTFC Heritage Team put together this wonderful display, and to have them on hand on several days too.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to see it, whether you're a lifelong Jags fan or just curious about the history. It really has been wonderful seeing the Halls filled with so many stories and so much Thistle pride.

Mon the Jags!

Ready for the next Connected Community talk?

We are so pleased to host Anabel Marsh to tell us the stories of some of Maryhill's most iconic women.

Only four of Glasgow's 120+ statues are of women. Anabel will explore why, and go hunting for the hidden tributes to women across Maryhill and Glasgow, in murals, paving stones, even a tree.

Come along, learn something new, and enjoy soup and a sandwich with your neighbours.
