Cold Callers/Scam Calls

We have been made aware of cold callers contacting housing association tenants recently in relation to repairs and maintenance issues. These calls are not connected to Cathcart and District Housing Association.

If you do get contacted by cold callers, please ensure you do not give out any of your personal details. If you are ever in doubt, please contact our office on 0141 633 2779 to confirm if it is a legitimate call from one of our staff members or contractors.

Window Wanderland Maps!

This year for the first time, we will have maps of all the registered window displays available as digital or paper copies.

Downloads:
From Thursday evening, the map will be available on the event site to download and print at home: windowwanderland.com/event/cathcart-2026/

Paper Copies:
On Friday, printed copies will be available to collect for free from the Couper Library or Kooee Café.

This means there is only 24 hours left to register your window to be included in the map so please do so now if you haven’t already: windowwanderland.com/event/cathcart-2026/

Cathcart, Merrylee and Muirend Community Council are holding Window Wanderland once again. With your help, we will transform the streets into a magical outdoor gallery of decorated, illuminated windows for all to enjoy!

Last year’s festival was a huge success with wonderful window displays, fantastic front room music gigs and hundreds of people on the streets enjoying the spectacle.

The festival is open to everyone, whatever your age or ability and we would love YOU to join in the fun. It’s completely FREE and you don’t need to be artistic to take part!

Tell your friends and neighbours and ask them to get involved!

Scottish Housing Regulator - Volunteer as a Tenant Advisor

The Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) is recruiting Tenant Advisors. This is an exciting opportunity for tenants of social landlords to inform the Regulator’s work and bring a tenant perspective to its scrutiny of landlords’ services.

The SHR is the independent regulator of registered social landlords (RSL) and local authority housing services in Scotland, working to safeguard and promote the interests of tenants, people who are homeless, and others who use social housing services.

SHR is looking for 16 motivated tenants to take on the role of Tenant Advisor – to provide their independent and unique perspective on SHR’s work, helping to ensure tenants are at the heart of SHR’s regulation of social landlords.

Applications are now open. All social housing tenants and residents of Gypsy/Traveller sites provided by RSLs and local authorities are welcome to apply.

Applicants don’t need any formal qualifications, training, or experience to become a Tenant Advisor, and volunteers will get ongoing support with their role.

Rent Consultation 2026/27

The Association is conducting our annual rent consultation to seek our tenant's views on proposals for the 2026/27 rent charge.

If you are a CDHA tenant, you will receive the rent consultation by email or in the post. Your views are important to us, and we would appreciate it if you could return the survey by Monday 12th January 2026.

You can return the form with your comments regarding the rent increase proposal by post, hand delivering the form to the office, or by emailing [email protected]. The survey can be accessed in Word format on our website or if you would rather have a paper copy posted out to you, please get in touch with us.
