FREE WORKSHOP:
We are fortunate to have Dr Nazim Ghouri join us on Wednesday 11th of May to talk us through various clinical, academic, and workplace scenarios - which push us to question whether various scenarios regarding race and background are rooted in curiosity, ignorance, subconscious bias, or racism.
Dr Nazim Ghouri is a consultant endocrinologist and diabetologist with special interests in the physical health and mental wellbeing of South Asian and Muslim patients. Dr Nazim Ghouri is an honorary clinical senior lecturer at Glasgow University. He has written dozens of published research articles investigating diabetic control in South Asians, endocrine health during Ramadan, and cardiovascular fitness of South Asian patients. We recommend reading these articles, which can be found here.
Please join us at 6pm in Lecture Theatre 639 in the James McCune Smith Building on Wednesday 11th May to welcome Dr Ghouri for his workshop on Curiosity, Ignorance, Subconscious Bias, or Racism in healthcare.
See you there!
