🎭 Something new is coming to Maslow’s!

We're launching an 8-week Costume Design Course for anyone who’d like to get creative and try something new.

Come along each Wednesday to explore costume design, learn new skills and create your own pieces. No previous experience is needed! At the end of the course, we’ll bring everything together for an exhibition open to friends and family.

📅 Every Wednesday from 26 August to 14 October
⏰ 1:30–4:30pm
🎓 Certificate on completion
👥 10 spaces only

As places are limited, registration is required, and participants need to commit to attending all 8 weeks of the course.

What a month it's been!

🛒 Over 800 people used our voucher service
🛍️ More than 330 customers visited our shop
👕 43 clothing packs supported people in temporary accommodation
🏠 861 people attended our free classes, activities and support sessions

Behind every number is someone who needed support, a volunteer who gave their time, or a neighbour who chose to get involved. That's what makes Maslow's so special.

July also saw another successful Street Glow-Up, bringing people together to care for the places we all call home. ✨

Thank you for helping us build a stronger, kinder and more connected community. 💛

✨ Another Street Glow-Up complete!

On Saturday we spent the day on Kennedar St, Skipness Dr and Hutton Dr, bringing a bit of extra colour and care to the neighbourhood.

From weeding and street clean-ups to graffiti art, games, music and free lunch, it was great to see so many people getting involved. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a fantastic day.

From empty flower beds to colourful blooms and fresh vegetables! 🥕🫑🌼

✨ Behind every item on our rails is a lot of work you don't always get to see.

Our volunteers spend countless hours sorting, organising and preparing donations before they ever reach the shop floor. To make that job a little easier, we've introduced a new storage system with clearly labelled boxes for different clothing types and sizes.

With limited space, staying organised is essential. The new system helps our volunteers find what they need more quickly, keeps our sorting area tidy, and makes better use of every bit of available space.

It might seem like a small change, but improvements like these help us create an even more welcoming shopping experience while making the best use of the generous donations we receive from our community.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making it happen! 💙
