Overlee Playgroup

Dear Parents, Grandparents and Friends,

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the closure of our beloved Overlee Playgroup at the end of this term. We have genuinely loved and will cherish the past 27 years where we have welcomed children to our playgroup and more recently welcomed the next generation.

We overcame the closure of our original premises in Overlee Pavilion to move on to where we are today in Stamperland Community Hall. We were so happy and grateful when we opened back up during difficult times after the pandemic and it was lovely to welcome children again.

A playgroup needs children to laugh and play to continue. Unfortunately, we do not have the numbers on our waiting list. Thus we have made the very sad and difficult decision to close the playgroup at the end of this term.

Thank you to our lovely parents, grandparents, families, friends and supporters who have supported us through some amazing 40+ years by sending their children, attended the many fundraising events we’ve had and helped with donations. We will miss you all dearly.

The playgroup will close on Friday the 23rd of June 2023.

Playgroup opens tomorrow, Wednesday 17th August at 9.30 am. We are looking forward to welcoming our little children old and new and hope you all had a great summer.

What better way to end this term 2021/2022 than one of our great traditions - Teddy Bear Picnic 2022. 🐻🙂🎉 We could not have it outside and big Teddy was rather sad but we had a great time anyway. We wish everyone very sunn, adventurous and happy summer holidays.

Unfortunately we still don't have received any positive news about being able to restart our lovely little playgroup. If you can, please help us by signing this petition to give us a chance of a return at least in August.

We are sad to say that unfortunately the playgroup will not be open until at least Midterm holidays in February. Stay safe everyone and we will be looking forward to welcome your lovely children soon.

Great news!!
Overlee Playgroup will be re-opening on 29th September. Emails will be sent to parents letting them know their child's start date and the new procedures for re-opening. 😊
