CWU Conference begins this weekend in Bournemouth and as young members of the Union we are looking forward to taking part!

On the evening of Monday 11th May at 7.30pm we will be holding a meet up in the Brass Haus!

If you want to find out more about our young workers network (aged 30 or under) why not come along?

This is a great event for first time delegates and a chance to meet other young members from your Region and our National Young Workers Committee!

Matt Kerr will be undergoing a challenge to raise money for the CWU Humanitarian Aid, if you can, please consider sponsoring this worthy cause.

Matt Kerr found cycling 1k across the Scottish Highlands was not challenging enough, so he will cycle from Ardrossan, his father's birthplace, to Bournemouth in just three days. This 510-mile journey aims to raise funds for CWUHA projects.

Local Scot 1 reps recently attended the Workers Memorial Day in Inverness to remember those that have lost their lives to work-related incidents and to reflect on the continuous work required to ensure health and safety is a priority in every workplace.

Today and Thursday, Scot1 and CWU Glasgow and Motherwell Branch reps will be on site in Alexander Bain House Glasgow hosting an AI awareness stall. Come and chat to us about how AI may affect you in your workplace and tell us any concerns you may have about this.

Don't forget to also come by and take part in games to win sweets or a giant teddy bear!

We have also hidden some easter eggs in the breakout areas, be sure to find them and bring them down to win an easter egg.

BT workers in the CWU are being urged to “have your say” on an inflation-busting pay deal. Union members at BT are to be sent a consultative ballot on whether to accept or reject a pay offer for the coming financial year. The offer, which was reached after an intense bout of recent negotiation
