Are you based in Govan and interested in radio journalism? πŸŽ™οΈ

Our friends at Sunny Govan Community Radio are starting a community journalism project, beginning 25th August.

They're looking to bring together a group of local voices to tell stories from the Govan community, promote local businesses and events - all while helping you build your media and radio skills!

It's a brilliant opportunity for anyone in the G51 postcode. Get in touch with Georgia for more info πŸ™‚

Free pizza anyone? πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•

David and Ryan from The Victor Pizza Company Limited have kindly donated a huge surplus of pizzas from their wholesalers in Coatbridge.

The Govan Pantry team have been working hard to fit them into our freezers but we still have some left over that are up for grabs! Pop down to the pantry ASAP before they're all gone! πŸ˜‹

The fruit and veg area of The Govan Pantry is looking extra colourful this morning πŸŽπŸ‡πŸ₯•πŸ«‘πŸ˜

The Village Hotel had brought in a whole load of extra fruit and veg for guests who were competing at the Commonwealth Games. But as it turns out, athletes only want carbs after competitions! πŸ’ͺπŸ₯πŸž

The Pantry is open 11-3pm Wednesday and Thursday - pop by and grab yourself some lovely fruit and veg before it's gone!

Last week, our Wednesday Govan Tots group visited our friends across the water at the Riverside Museum for a brilliant morning of circus-themed fun! πŸ€Ήβ€β™‚οΈπŸŽͺ

There were clown tricks, circus stories and a whole bunch of great toys and props for the wee ones to play with.

Our days at Riverside are always a hoot for everyone - big thanks to Shona, Steve and Anna at the museum for making it such a great day, as always!

If you live in Govan and would like to bring your wee one (ages 5 and under) along to the next one, pop along to Govan Tots and ask a staff member for more info.
