Meet me in Govan

Meet me in Govan "Meet me in Govan" is a wee community project that presents weekly walking tours of Govan We meet weekly - every Thursday at 10.30 am.

Our "Meet me in Govan" project is hosted by Invisible Cities in partnership with Govan Community Project. To keep up with the well-being and community development, we have planned "weekly health walks" as a part of the project "Meet me in Govan". Our walks last about one hour, start and end at the Pearce Institute Reception (ground floor). Refreshments and indoor activities are scheduled afterwards in the Govan Community Project office (Pearce Institute building). Everyone is welcome to join our walks where you can meet new people, make new pals, gain interesting information about Govan, share your own stories and the most important thing is having fun. Do not forget to wear proper and comfortable clothes with shoes. We have great opportunities for volunteers - if you are interested in volunteering with us or looking for more information about the walks - please send us an email to:

What a great walk last week!

We can’t say how happy we are to work together with the Living Laboratory team and the University of Glasgow to bring all these community walks ☺️

And we absolutely love the new Health Innovation Hub! This place has become our favourite and we will be visiting the hub frequently.

Don’t miss our walks and join us on Thursdays in the morning at 10.30 am from The Pearce Institute reception. Everyone is welcome 🤗

Our guide Angie led the walk to the Glasgow Science Centre and again we had an amazing time! This place will never disappoint you!

Sheena provided great programme over coffee and tea and Bill talked to us about the Glasgow Tower. We love them both! Look at our photos below!

Living Lab on Foot is back with three more walks in Govan!

We are delighted to continue our Living Lab on Foot project with another three free community walks this autumn.

Join us as we walk through Govan, explore different aspects of health and wellbeing, hear local stories and, most importantly, bring people together.

📍 Meet us at The Pearce Institute

After each guided walk, we’ll continue the conversation over tea, coffee and refreshments, with a relaxed session exploring health, community and some of the work happening locally.

And this time, there’s no need to book! Simply turn up at the Pearce Institute and join us.

Living Lab on Foot is part of our Meet Me in Govan project, delivered in partnership with the University of Glasgow, the Living Laboratory team and the Health Innovation Hub.

Amazing walk last week! 😍

Our guide Silvana guided the group to the National Library of Scotland where we met with Sheena. She showed us around and how the library works for the public. We saw a few local videos from the past and that was something!

The library is open to anyone and you can definitely learn more about Glasgow and see lots of cool films ❤️
