Scottish Young Carers Festival 2026 🎉

What an unforgettable experience! 💙

Our young carers had an amazing time at the Scottish Young Carers Festival 2026, making new friends from across Scotland, trying exciting activities, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Some of our young people were involved with the media ambassadors and had the opportunity to interview First Minister John Swinney - what a highlight! They have also been working on a short film to vocalise the experiences of young carers so keep your eyes peeled for this once it's released 😀

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this special event possible, especially Carers Trust Scotland who work all year to make this happen.

We are so proud of our young carers for embracing every opportunity, supporting one another, and representing our group so brilliantly.

We hope everyone had as much fun as we did – we can’t wait for next year! 🌟

Just like that, it is the end of the Carluke group's Summer Programme! ☀️💙

Over the past few weeks, our amazing young carers have made unforgettable memories, tried new experiences, and most importantly, had lots of fun together.

🎢 We enjoyed an action-packed day at M&D’s Theme Park.
🦁 We got up close with amazing animals at Blair Drummond Safari Park.
🚣 We challenged ourselves and had a splash at Pinkston Water Sports.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this summer so special. Seeing our young carers laugh, build friendships, boost their confidence, and simply enjoy being young has been the highlight of our summer.

We hope everyone has a fantastic rest of the holidays, and we can’t wait to see you all again soon! 💙

This week, Camglen Seniors put their skills to the test with an action-packed game of laser tag! 🎯

Agility, aim, stealth and teamwork were the order of the day as everyone embraced the challenge with plenty of energy, laughter and friendly competition. A fantastic time was had by all! 👏😊

Our EK Seniors had a fantastic afternoon at Topgolf Glasgow last week! ⛳🏌️‍♂️☺️

Everyone has great fun practising their golf skills on the driving range, enjoying some friendly competition, and cheering each other on. The group also enjoyed some tasty snacks and delicious milkshakes, making it a brilliant day for all involved.

It was wonderful to see everyone having fun, building confidence, and spending time together 💙

Our Hamilton Junior Young Carers enjoyed a fun-filled trip to Clip n Climb and Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum this week.

From climbing and challenges to exploring the museum, everyone had a great day out! 🖼️🎨🧗🧗‍♀️

What a wonderful day out for our Camglen Seniors at Kelvingrove park in Glasgow! ☀️🤩

With the sun shining from start to finish, everyone enjoyed a lovely picnic in the park surrounded by beautiful scenery, followed by time exploring the stunning Kelvingrove Museum. There was plenty of laughter along the way, with a stop for some delicious homemade ice cream before finishing the day with outdoor bowls in the sunshine.

Days like these are about so much more than a trip out – they're about friendship, shared experiences, making new memories, and enjoying each other's company. It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces, and we're already looking forward to our next adventure! 🌳🍦🐿️

A great day out at Clyde Valley Farm Park! 🐑🚜

Our Hamilton Junior Young Carers had a brilliant trip to Clyde Valley Farm Park this week.

From meeting the animals, to tractor rides and exploring the play areas, there was so much fun had by everyone 💚

It was a great chance for our young carers to relax, have some time out, and make memories together.
