It’s the World’s biggest week of piping and it’s all happening in Glasgow! 🎶

Piping Live! organised by the runs until 14th August and draws thousands of musicians to the city. 🥁

It all culminates this weekend when the World Pipe Band Championships take place in Glasgow Green.

Check out for all the events happening this week. If you’re heading to Kelvingrove, Victoria Park or Glasgow Green you can catch a glimpse of the bands in action before the championships begin on Friday! ✨

Mitchell Library appreciation! ✨
Glasgow-based collage artist created these beautiful tributes to the Mitchell Library through the cycle of the seasons. She was inspired by the statue of Minerva, the Roman Goddess of Literature, who sits in the dome of the library. 📚

Anyone who’s visited Voltaire and Rousseau in the past will know about the piles and piles of books you had to work your way through when you walked inside, but now things are getting (slightly) more organised. We went for a visit to Glasgow’s oldest bookstore to hear about the exciting plans for its future - and meet Bebe the cat of course!📚
