Good to see Leeds and Perth Somme supporting the function.

Entertainment from the singer and band was excellent.

Once again that now famous chant when we visit Paisley "We're only here for the raffle" echoed through the hall 😂

Today we remember our friend Gary Tipton on the second anniversary of his passing.

Gary and his family have been friends of ours for countless years, and last Saturday we had the pleasure of welcoming his wife, Margie, to Drumchapel.

Every February, Gary would welcome us to Blackpool for the Blackpool Somme Society annual function with open arms, and he always loved coming up to Drumchapel.

Gary was one of life's true gentlemen—a proud loyalist, a dedicated family man, and a loyal friend.

Gary is proudly honoured among the Volunteers from England on the recently unveiled memorial on the Shankill Road, alongside those from 1st East Antrim in the Monkstown Memorial Garden.

Today, our thoughts are with his wife, Margie, and his entire family. We will always be with you.

This Saturday our friends in Paisley Somme Association are having a function in Castle Street Orange Hall if you are in the area get yourselves along for a fantastic night with a loyalist singer and the Paisley Protestant Boys Flute Band.

A fantastic night in Hillview Inn for our friends in Possilpark and Springburn Hall was packed all night the way it should be.
