Hellooo LOVE, BLOOD and COVERS Lovers.
Brilliant News & Congratulations to the Contaminated Blood Fund in East Lothian and in Spain!
We can report that in well under a decade, the CBF has SUCCEEDED in raising their target sum of £40,000 towards the Willow Tree Sculpture set for ~ we all hope ~ Edinburgh City Centre !

Love, Blood and Covers wish all the very best to all the team at the Contaminated Blood Fund. Hopin’ and prayin’ you achieve the best site possible site for the Willow Tree Sculpture.

There’s mounting and maintenance costs too, and as we all knows, costs have gone up. Marvin Gaye said “keep on keeping on” and that’s what we will do.

Love, Blood and Covers supports the Contaminated Blood Fund by raising awareness too. We sing and play with a vengeance. The intention and the ‘Why’ of the Memorial Tree is always to the FORE.

My family is personally affected by the Contaminated Blood Scandal with the loss of a family member to the disaster.
Informing and sharing our cause thru music; connecting with others inside and out of our community, is what we aim to do with our classic soul, blues and rock tracks.

Last year in 2021, L,B&C managed nearly 1/3 of our £5000 target in VirginJustGiving. That has now stopped and GO FUND ME is now the funding platform for Love, Blood and Covers. Thank You !’ to everyone who helped so far !

This summer we’ve recorded six new tracks and with an
albums’ worth of great music, and a fantastic live sound - with the Infected Blood Inquiry nearing completion in 2023, we know there’s going to be a lot to sing about.

We have many plans for 2022 which good peeps and music lovers like you, we will be keeping up to date on - such as gigs proposed for next year in the run up to the conclusion of the Infected Blood Inquiry.

We’re going to crowd fund for a full CD - which means a full live set too ~ in support of the Contaminated Blood Fund’s proposed memorial tree sculpture planned for Edinburgh City Centre.

If any of you know of a venue who would like to host an 8 peice banging soul and blues oriented covers band - with a twist ! Please let us know here❣️❣️❣️

We just need one last push towards the target for the artwork planned for Edinburgh in 2022 - coinciding with the end of the INFECTED BLOOD INQUIRY - and with one more push, we are going to get there ❣️

The Sculpture will be a lasting tribute to the infected and affected with Contaminated Blood - which if you’re still only playing catch-up on this, is the worst treatment disaster in the history of the NHS.

It began in the 1970’s through to early 1990’s and it’s effects are still being felt today.

40 years on and sufferers and their families still await recognition of harms done, and justice for the crimes, the cover-ups (the scandal part) and the apathy, incompetence and delays in government which caused the distaster to happen.
