An appeal was made by MMAG after the result of the fight between Rhona v Axana was declared a split win to Axana.
After a thorough review by 3 IBMTO officials who were not part of the judging team that day, the appeal has been successful. All 3 appeal judges returned a decision awarding Rhona the victory!

End-of-Year Results – 2025 ✨️✨️✨️

In 2025, our officiating team was deployed across 19 shows, covering events from Aberdeen to Sheffield. A total of 215 bouts went to a judges’ decision. Of these, 162 decisions were unanimous, representing 75.3% of all fights going to points. The remaining outcomes comprised 9 majority wins, 6 majority draws, 10 split draws, and 28 split decisions.

During the year, we successfully inducted five new officials, all of whom passed the required assessments and shadow-judging shows. We also established three new officials in the North of England, with additional candidates having passed assessment and scheduled to complete their shadow-judging in 2026.

Looking ahead to 2026, our objectives are to further improve judging consistency, achieve a higher proportion of unanimous decisions, and provide fighters with greater confidence in the accuracy and integrity of results. We also aim to continue developing competent officials through structured shadow-judging and to deliver additional seminars to support wider understanding of the rules across the sport.🙏🙏🙏

Less than one week into 2026, IBMTO Scotland is already confirmed for 16 events in the year ahead—an outstanding start that reflects the continued trust placed in our officials and standards.

The year 2025 marked our busiest period to date, with 19 shows officiated across the UK, from Aberdeen to Sheffield. This level of activity demonstrates both the growing demand for our services and the commitment of our officials to maintaining consistency, fairness, and professionalism at every event.

We were also pleased to welcome five new officials to the organisation in 2025. Each successfully completed the 10-fight assessment and two shadow-judging events, bringing our total roster to 15 qualified officials. This growth strengthens our depth, resilience, and future capacity.

In collaboration with MTGB, we additionally supported three judges in meeting the required standards to be recognised as competent officials in the north of England. Further candidates are already scheduled to shadow judge at upcoming events, following successful completion of their assessments—highlighting our ongoing commitment to development and succession planning.

Our 2025 AGM and annual review will take place next week. This session will focus on reviewing split decisions, confirming any required changes for the year ahead, and agreeing clear pathways for learning, development, and continual improvement.

As we move into 2026, IBMTO Scotland remains committed to raising standards, supporting our officials, and contributing positively to the growth and integrity of the sport.🙏🙏🙏

We are officiating at the Alloa show ran by MXP this weekend. Then the epic Aberdeen Muay Thai on Dec 6th to finish off the year for us 🙏
