We are reminding the public that the illegal use of quad bikes and off-road motorcycles can put riders, pedestrians, and other road users at serious risk.

Quad bikes and dirt bikes must only be used where permitted and in accordance with the law. Riding on public roads without the appropriate licence, insurance, registration, or safety equipment is an offence. The use of these vehicles in parks, footpaths, green spaces, and other areas where they are prohibited can also cause danger, nuisance, and damage to local communities.

If you witness the illegal use of quad bikes or dirt bikes, please report it to Police Scotland. Information provided by the public helps us identify offenders and keep our communities safe.

For non-emergencies, contact Police Scotland on 101. In an emergency, or if there is an immediate risk to public safety, always call 999.

Update from local Labour councillor regarding trees on Crookston Road!
It turns out the land is not owned by H&P after all, as this was disputed from previous correspondence.
Hopefully we will see an improvement soon 🙏🏻

I received an outcome today from the local councillor regarding the badly overgrown trees on Crookston road.

Looks like the residents on that side of the estate may be in for a bill, as this outcome differs from last years email about the trees belonging to a resident living on the estate.

So is the owner ‘Hacking and Patterson” 😤😤😤??
Lets see how this is dealt with…..

If the owner of the land in Polquap/Dalmellington see this video, can you please do something about the trees AND the low hanging branches when walking past on Crookston Road.
There is potentially a high risk of someone being hurt if they walk into these, as the branches are so long this year and are hanging very low and you are having to duck quite low when going past, having to step on to the road to avoid, which with a pram or wheelchair/mobility scooter may not be an option due to how busy the Crookston Road can be.

Local Councillor was contacted last year and a letter was sent out to landowner, but nothing was done in respect to upkeep of the trees.
I have personally emailed the councillor again to make contact for this matter to be resolved.
Its a danger and its an eyesore!
