Weโ€™ve submitted a request to Glasgow City Council for a cleanโ€‘up of local pathways to tackle the overgrown grass and w**d build up thatโ€™s making the area look really untidy.

The streets reported so far based on community feedback are:

โœ…Kilchoan Road
โœ…Pitreavie Place
โœ…Jerviston Road
โœ…Kishorn Place
โœ…Cambus Place
โœ…Cambusdoon Road
โœ…Otterwick Place
โœ…Mosscastle Road
โœ…Collesie Drive
โœ…Riggside Road
โœ…Mossvale Square
โœ…Mossvale Road

We know there are plenty of other streets needing attention, but this is a starting point and weโ€™re already beginning to see some progress. If there are any other problem areas let us know and we will add to the next submission. Any photographs would be useful.

We have received a further update from SGPM Factors regarding the deteriorating fence and retaining wall on Gartloch Road. Discussions are ongoing with homeowners regarding remedial action, although no timescale has been provided at this stage for repair.

We have also submitted updated photos showing further deterioration, including detached fence sections on the public footpath as shown from the weekend.

We will continue to seek updates to keep residents informed and seek Elected Member support.

The junction at Mossvale Road / Avenue End Road has been reported again as it has been a longstanding issue for the last couple of years and many residents will be aware of the difficulties it causes when driving on this road.

We've now been advised that the location has been included in Glasgow City Council's 2026/2027 carriageway patch works programme.

If the condition continues to deteriorate before these works are carried out, we would encourage residents to continue reporting the issue directly to Glasgow City Council via the My Glasgow App or 0800 373635. The more reports the Council receives, the better they understand the impact this is having on the local community.

We'll continue to monitor the situation as things move forward.

We have raised ongoing concerns about the bins at Craigend Shops constantly overflowing and the council has now serviced the public litter bin and increased the servicing schedule from every 4 days to every 2 days to help keep the area cleaner. Theyโ€™ll continue to monitor the location to make sure standards are maintained.

As part of our Did You Know? campaign to provide greater transparency to the community, hereโ€™s how the North East Area Partnership works.

The Partnership covers Blackhill, Craigend, Easterhouse, Garthamlock, Gartloch, Hogganfield and Ruchazie. It meets 4 times a year to look at local priorities and decide how community funding is used and is Chaired by an Elected Councillor. Each Community Council has a representative to ensure local views are included.

The Partnership receives a yearly community budget, and each community group can apply for up to ยฃ9,229.

Agendas and minutes
For every meeting, the Partnership publishes public agendas and minutes:

The agenda shows:

- Topics for discussion.
- Where local funding is going.
- Which community groups have applied for funding.

The minutes record the:

- Main talking points.
- Decisions made.
