🌈✨ Pride season is nearly here, Scotland! From the Highlands and Islands to the central belt and the Borders, communities all over the country are getting ready to march, celebrate, and stand together.

Members of the UNISON Scotland LGBT+ Committee were proud to attend the 15th Annual STUC LGBT+ Workers’ Conference this weekend. 🌈✊

It was inspiring to stand alongside trade unionists and activists from across Scotland to debate and support motions focused on equality, dignity, inclusion, and protecting LGBT+ rights in our workplaces and communities.

Important discussions took place on tackling discrimination, supporting trans rights, banning conversion therapy, improving workplace protections, and continuing the fight for equality for all LGBT+ workers. The conference once again showed the strength and solidarity of the trade union movement.

A huge thank you to everyone who organised, spoke, and contributed to the debates. We leave the conference motivated, energised, and ready to continue the work within UNISON and beyond.
