Blawarthill Anchor Boys Our Anchor boys are based on six areas: Get Active, Get Into the Bible, Get Creative, Get Learning, Get Adventurous and Get Involved.

The emphasis is on fun and programme activities include games, crafts, stories and new experiences!!!

🌺 Remembrance Sunday 🌺

Today, the 184th Glasgow Boys’ Brigade took part in the Remembrance Day parade, marching proudly from the Royal British Legion to the church. Each of our boys represented the Company with great respect and maturity, all arriving smartly in uniform and behaving exceptionally well throughout the service.

We are so proud of them for showing such honour on this important day of remembrance.

One den… one team… one epic mission! 🌌

Our brave Anchor Boys blasted off to Planet Zoom to rescue the Golden Anchor from the pesky Slime Monsters! 🪐👾💛

What started as den building quickly turned into rocket construction and before we knew it, we were zooming through space on a daring rescue mission! 🚀💫

Brilliant teamwork, imagination, and laughter all the way mission accomplished, heroes! 🌍💙

Day 2 our 140th Anniversary 140km Walking Challenge sees Jim McVean, head from St Luke's Church in Milngavie, home to the 1st/2nd Milngavie Company to 44th Glasgow at Cardonald Church, calling at 1st Bearsden, 3rd Bearsden, 152nd Glasgow, 5th Glasgow, 247th Glasgow, 184th Glasgow, 135th Glasgow, 130th Glasgow and 167th Glasgow en route. Todays distance is 22.9km, taking the total to 49.2km.

The days planned timings are
- 1st/2nd Milngavie, St Lukes Church, leaving at 09:30
- 1st Bearsden, Bearsden BB Hall, leaving at 10:15
- 3rd Bearsden, Killermont Church leaving at 10:45
- 152nd Glasgow, Maryhill Ruchill Church leaving at 11:15
- 5th Glasgow, St John's Renfield Church leaving at 11:45
- 247th Glasgow, Knightswood Anniesland Trinity Church leaving at 12:15
- 184th Glasgow, Blawarthill Parish Church leaving at 13:00
- 135th Glasgow, Scotstoun Parish Church leaving at 13:30
- 130th Glasgow, Broomhill Hyndland Church leaving at 14:00
- 167th Glasgow, St Andrew & St Nicholas Church leaving at 15:15
- 44th Glasgow, Cardonald Parish Church arriving 15:30
