Culture at the Crannog: As part of our Cultural Explorations programme, we were privileged to attend the reopening of the Scottish Crannog Centre in Perthshire recently.

Our groups enjoyed a day of storytelling, music and poetry to celebrate the reopening of the reconstructed Iron Age roundhouse. A memorable and inspiring day.

Carers Week might be over for another year, but our support isn’t.

We’re here to provide emotional support, advice, training and funded breaks to carers in the north-east of Glasgow. And it’s available 52 weeks of the year.

Men’s Health Week: This year, 1 in 4 people in Scotland will experience a mental health problem. It’s well documented that men find it harder to talk about their mental health.

Through our range of support services, we’re helping men in Glasgow recover from mental health challenges and take positive steps forward.

“Often, unpaid carers don’t even recognise themselves as carers. They can be struggling on alone, doing what they do out of love, without the support they are entitled to.”

As part of Carers Week, we sat down with GAMH North East Carers Service Manager Margaret McBride. Read how the service is supporting unpaid carers and why the carers she works with inspire her every day.
