We are so incredibly grateful for the amazing support we get every year. If you are considering supporting us again this Christmas, can we share a small change about how we would like to support families this year?
Many of the mums we work with have told us how much it would mean for them to be able to choose a gift for their child themselves. So, this year, we are asking our wonderful supporters if they would consider donating vouchers (e.g. Amazon, Argos, Primark, Supermarkets, Greggs, Coffee shops, One for All) or cash instead of toys.
A voucher allows a mum to pick exactly what her child wants, wrap it herself and see their face on Christmas morning. It restores a bit of dignity and choice at a time when so much choice has already been taken away from them.
Cash donations will be used to purchase supermarket vouchers to help mums buy their Christmas dinner, Christmas crackers and selection boxes.
We will still be grateful for donations for women, including gift sets, biscuits, scarfs, gloves, socks and slippers.
We so have an Amazon wishlist with specially selected gifts for the women, children and young people we support if you would prefer the choice of a physical gift.
