WILD TRIALS 2026!

We had an amazing time down in Dartmoor this weekend and our teams did brilliantly treating medical emergencies in Jurassic Park!

We survived over 22 total hours of driving, we fought dinosaurs and we did copious amounts of singing and dance breaks - all round an excellent time!

Thanks so much to and for hosting a great weekend, lots of GWEMS love 💚🧡

Start getting excited for an epic GWEMS trip to the Ayrshire Galapagos in honour of Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday! Pack your bags and binoculars to observe medics in their natural habitat for simulation weekend 2026 8 - 10th May ⛰️🚑

Tickets will be released via a google form on the Instagram and linktree

For this weekend, purchasing GWEMS membership is required if you have not already! We also recommend that participants have come to a GWEMS session/Intro Weekend before or have A-E experience though it is not a requirement 💚🧡

We had an amazing time on Skye at the Remote and Rural Medicine Conference!

At this jam packed weekend exploring Skye we
✅ climbed a munro
✅ did some wild swimming
✅ ceilidh danced
✅ ran a 5k
✅ listened to live music

Not to mention running a mass casualty simulation and hearing incredibly inspiring talks at the conference!

We are so excited to announce that next week's session will be a talk on military medicine by Dr Ross Moy, consultant in Pre Hospital and Emergency Medicine. 🚁🩺

Ross was one of the amazing doctors who came along to Wild Trials last year to help us run a weekend of competition scenarios and we are so happy to have him join GWEMS again! 🏔️

WELCOME BACK! 🧡💚🥳
We are so excited to kick off the new semester with a round robin session of different clinical skills stations. 🩺

This is perfect if this is your first session of GWEMS or you're feeling a bit rusty, its great for 1st years to learn some clinical skills and older years to brush up for OSCEs.

It will be a fun, hands-on and practical session with a scenario at the end to put your skills to practice! 🥼

Meet us at 6.30pm THIS Tuesday 14th January in room 717 at 42 Bute Gardens.
