🚨 Glendoune Funday Update 🚨

Due to other commitments and some exciting new arrivals in our wee team 👶, we’ve made the decision to postpone our Glendoune Funday this year.

Rather than rushing it, we’re putting all our efforts into making next year’s event event bigger and better! 🎉 Our next big event will be Halloween 🎃

Due to the postponing of our Funday we were able to work in partnership with Thriving Communities - Community Learning & Development to allow our youth groups a fantastic trip to Blackpool last week! ☺️🎢 They had a brilliant time making memories together, and we’ll be sharing plenty of photos with you soon 📸

What an excellent job 👏🏻

A polite reminder that we have community groups in our wee centre every week! The last thing we need is their safety at risk due to constant rubbish and glass outside. It’s your community, take care of it ☺️

✨ Success Story Spotlight – Charlie’s Journey ✨

Three years ago, Charlie took the first step towards a brighter future by joining the Glendoune Centre drop-in and attending Thriving Communities Employability groups. With support from Brooke, Charlie created an action plan to build confidence and shape the next chapter.

Since then, Charlie has:
✅ Gained new qualifications
✅ Built confidence and skills
✅ Completed an Outdoor Instructor Modern Apprenticeship
✅ Developed valuable experience at Dolphin House
✅ Even passed his driving test 🚗

And now, Charlie is moving into full-time work as a trainee bus driver! 🚌👏

💬Charlie Said: “My time at Thriving Communities Employability has been great. I am grateful for all the support, encouragement, and opportunities that have helped me grow in confidence and move forward in my career.”
