Everyone knows that Café Sunlight serves delicious hot and cold food Monday to Friday from 10am til 2pm, but did you know it's part of our bigger employability scheme? Our volunteers get training, qualifications, and meaningful experience in a real workplace, which employers love to see! Some of the crew have additional needs, some are at risk of social exclusion, and some are coming back into the job market after a long absence. Café Sunlight gives them opportunities to learn and grow that they not get anywhere else. It all shows how volunteering can improve your life chances, and empower you to find full time work!

Did you that every Tuesday, our lovely volunteers Win and Rob host a poetry a club in the Radio Sunlight studio? Called Sunlight Shared Verse, it's a weekly meet-up for people who love writing, reading and listening to poetry. There’s no pressure to perform, an open mind and enthusiasm are all you need to take part. If you fancy a couple of hours of creativity and community, come along! Here's famous poem to get you in the zone:

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
