We're hosting a FREE Christmas Day Lunch in Faversham for anyone who may be feeling lonely this festive season. 🎅🤝🎁

“Every step takes me closer to helping someone feel less alone.” – Stuart

This Saturday, 8th November 2025, our incredible volunteer Stuart, one of our dedicated Befrienders, sets off on the journey of a lifetime — a 12-day trek to Everest Base Camp (and 5 days back!) to raise £1,500 for the Faversham & Sittingbourne Befriending Service, part of Age UK Kent Rivers.

Loneliness has, sadly, become a way of life for too many older people — but our Befrienders are changing that.

In 2024–2025 alone, our amazing volunteers carried out 3,510 Befriending visits and phone calls across Medway and Faversham, bringing conversation, connection and companionship to those who need it most. 💙

Stuart is one of them — giving his time every week to help older people feel seen, heard and valued. Now, he’s taking that commitment 410,000 steps further to make sure no one has to feel invisible or alone.
