Beautiful sunshine for our litter pick at Rookery Fields, Woodlands Road this morning! ☀️

A great team out today, including some parents and children from Woodlands Primary School who came to help (not pictured). We collected:

✅ 14 bags of litter
✅ A mattress
✅ A dismantled gate
✅ and some old fencing

Thanks to everyone who came to help, and thanks to Councillor Chrissy Stamp for helping to organise.

Great turnout at a very sunny Strand this morning! 15 volunteers and lots of rubbish collected, including

✅ 20+ full bags of litter
✅ 4 car tyres
✅ A double bed base
✅ A sofa
✅ Lots of dumped wood
✅ a DVLA clamp!
and lots of other random items.

Meet by the cafe / toilets at 10am. Litter pickers, gloves and sacks provided - hope to see you there! 💚🌳♻️

Great team out at Hillyfields Community Park in Gillingham - and there was no rain! 🥳

We collected:
✅ 17 bags of rubbish
✅ 1 bag of recycling
✅ 7 nitrous oxide canisters
✅ 4 dinner plates 🤷‍♂️
✅ 2 garden spades
✅ A roll of carpet
✅ Some guttering
✅ and an old tyre!

If you are 13 or older, live in Gillingham and want to make a real difference to where you live, get involved! 💚

The Gillingham Community Council would like to invite young people to join their youth forum.

This forum will allow the young people to have an input on decisions made by the Gillingham Community Council, this will include discussions around the allocation of funding, youth led projects, and much more.

Young people are the future of Gillingham, and we believe their voices are valuable and should be heard.

Please share this poster where your young people will see it and encourage them to become a greater part of their community.

Great team out at Mill Road Play Area and Prince Arthur Park today, collecting 20 bags of rubbish!

A brilliant start to 2026! We had a great team out at Mill Road Play Area, Prince Arthur Park and Khyber Road this morning.

We collected:
✅ 20 bags of rubbish
✅ A tyre
✅ A traffic cone, and
✅ A fire extinguisher! 🤷‍♂️

Thank you to the 10 volunteers who came along to help, including Councillor Chrissy Stamp who arranged for the rubbish to be collected by Norse.

A particular thank you must go to Brenda for coming along on her Birthday - that’s pure dedication to the cause! 🥳🎂
