Happy Neurodiversity Celebration Week! This week is a dedicated time to recognise and celebrate the neurodiverse community.

It is a great opportunity to educate yourself on neurodiversity and learn how you can support neurodiverse people.

We have a range of resources you can use, like our 'Guide for Neurotypicals: Understanding Autistic and ADHD women and girls' and our Thinking Differently zine which offers insights on the gendered differences in autism and ADHD. Check them out here: https://www.thewi.org.uk/campaigns/key-and-current-campaigns/thinking-differently

Through awareness and inclusion, we can ensure that neurodiverse people feel comfortable and celebrated.

This February, we’re bringing Show the Love back, crafting green hearts and starting the conversations that matter.

At a time when the story of climate and nature is being challenged, and some voices try to turn our love for people and planet into something divisive, Show the Love reminds us that at the heart of a fairer, greener future is protecting the places we share and the things we all hold dear.

Making a green heart is a simple, powerful act. It makes care, hope and positive action visible in our communities. These small gestures help reduce fear and division, and inspire and spark bigger conversations. Together, we can turn our love into action and spread hope.

You can find out how to get involved in Show The Love, including how to craft the green heart on My WI: https://mywi.thewi.org.uk/nfwi-news/articles/show-the-love-14-february

Don't forget to send us pictures of your hearts and activities at [email protected]

Help retailers give back to the NFWI when our supporters and friends shop online.

The NFWI is now registered with easyfundraising, which allows anyone buying gifts or essentials online to raise money for their cause , as the largest women’s organisation in the UK, they give women a voice that enables them to be a force for good in their community.

It works by retailers themselves (over 8,000, from eBay, Argos and JustEat to M&S) making small donations when you make a purchase – via the easyfundraising platform. It’s easy to set up and will take a couple of minutes - and we’ll explain how below).

1. Visit https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/national-federation-of-womens-institute and sign up for free.

2. This bit is important: every time you decide to shop online, you need to go to the easyfundraising site above first, and then select the retailer you would like to shop with. You can search for health, beauty, travel, clothing and much, much more.

3. Shop away 😊

After you’ve paid and checked out, that retailer will make a donation to National Federation of Women's Institutes. How lovely! It is vital that we raise funds at a national level to ensure we can continue to support women and continue to give them a voice to be a force for good in the community.
