✨ End of Term Fun at Messy Time! ✨

🫟 Yesterday was our end of term celebration and WOW… what a turnout! 🎉

☀️The sunshine was beaming, the water was splashing, the paint was out, and our little explorers were squeezing, bending, squishing, and giggling their way through every messy station we created. Pure joy from tiny fingers to busy little knees!

🧑‍🎓 Handing out certificates to our Messy Time Graduators was such a proud moment. We’re going to miss them so much, but we’re bursting with excitement knowing they’ll be starting their brand new adventures in school come September.

🫶Messy Time has become more than just a play group….it’s a place where friendships grow, confidence blossoms, and a whole community comes together. A happy hub for our little messy makers and for mums, dads, carers, grandparents, aunties and friends who join in, chat, laugh and share the journey.

💖We’re incredibly proud of what our messy team has built over the last three years a community group run purely from passion, love and the belief that messy play truly matters. It helps children learn, explore and express themselves… all while having the BEST fun.

🗓️We can’t wait to be back in September with even bigger, brighter, messier sessions!

👋🏻To all our leavers ….we’re sending you the biggest farewell hugs. You’ll be missed, but never forgotten. 🥳

📍🎓🥳𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗠 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗬 ✨

Next Tuesday 14th July we will be celebrating the end of term, where we also say goodbye to some messy time buddies to start their new chapters and adventures in school. 🏫🥰 we will certainly miss them 🫶

🎓There will be the opportunity for leavers (but also for all our messy time buddies) to have their photos taken if you choose for keepsakes of their time here.📸🎞️

😍Again , we thank everyone that has participated in messy time , and can see the progress of their little messy time tinkers, we love to see children gain confidence, improve physical development, communication and lots more in the environment created to enhance growth 🫶

🤝If anyone would like to support messy either by sponsoring, donating , or even helping us out in some sessions , please get intouch as without volunteers and the extra funding we don’t function, and we want to keep the cost to parents at a minimum… (be great to run free sessions 🙏)

We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday, new comers are always welcome.🤗 Just turn up 👍🏼

⏰Start : 9.15am (doors open at 9)

💷Price : £3 per child or if over 3 children it’s £2.50 each … price includes unlimited refreshments and also snacks for the children (card or cash welcome)

⛪️Location: Greenside Methodist Church, Gildersome.

Note: due to water play and paints etc … we do recommend clothes you don’t mind staining, and a change of clothes for traveling home is recommended, as we do promote mess, but it’s a good mess 😁🤭!!! Please bring sun cream and hats for outside play☀️

Gildersome, it’s time to come together for a brilliant community day filled with bargains, recycling, fundraising, and local pride. Whether you’re clearing out your cupboards, supporting a cause, this event is for you.

🛍️ For Residents in and around Gildersome: (if outside of Gildersome we do have community areas to set up pleased register to apply for a table top)

Got unwanted items taking up space? Turn them into cash while giving them a new home. It’s the perfect chance to recycle, resell, and be part of a fun village wide trail that brings neighbours together.

💚 Charities & Non‑Profit Organisations:

We’d love to have you join us. Set up a stall, raise funds, spread awareness, and connect with the community. You’re warmly welcomed and encouraged to take part.

🏪 Local Businesses:

You are invited to get involved, However, we are still seeking the traders permit at this event , so please fill in your details if you’re interested and we’ll be in touch to discuss further.

***WE NOW HAVE PERMISSION FOR BUSINESSES (updated June 27th)

📍 It’s happening all across Gildersome…. follow the trail, meet new people, and enjoy a day full of community spirit. The map will be created ONLINE once we have your registrations in.

You are welcome to use your own gazebos for those where possible, or join with others for cover, and we do have limited space inside the meeting hall. But hopefully the weather will be kind ☀️

📝 To be included in the Table Top Sale and added to the trail, PLEASE REGISTER ASAP.

🥳 Thank you to everyone that joined us yesterday to celebrate our 3rd Birthday!!!!

We certainly had a blast, lovely to see new faces and excitement of the children with the water trays was lovely to see!🚿 🤭

The cake went down very nicely too, yum yum 🥳 🎂

And we would like to take this opportunity to thank those who help make it possible…

Firstly a massive thanks to Debbie & Colleen, for the three years you have both been a big part of the success of this amazing project, cleaning, washing, helping in putting away everything after the sessions, donations and more . It’s those invaluable extra hands that keep us going !! Thank you for been a part of the messy team and going that extra mile 💖

Then our kitchen ladies , who again turn up week in week out to help us prepare snacks, offer drinks and wash up all the gacky, messy, slimy, basically the aftermath of messy times items… Gabby & Christine you are wonderful ladies thank you for coming in your free time to help 🥰

We would also like to mention Karen, as she might not make every session, but when she does, without been asked , steps up and gets her kids involved in the tidy up afterwards to …

There are now many others from our beautiful regular childminders, to grandparents and parents who now offer help, and just muck in and lend a hand, even just if it’s just collecting the ball pool balls 🫶 … more hands make light work …

We are lucky that we live in such a great community. As a none profit group we couldnt do any of this with out the help from those who turn up week in week out , come for just one session or in it for the long haul that help, everyone matters and makes a difference to help us keep this children’s development group going and growing …

🎉 We’re Celebrating Our 3rd Birthday! 🎉

It’s our 3rd birthday this week, and we’re so excited to be celebrating another wonderful milestone with all of you. 🎉🥳

We’d love for you to join us on Tuesday 23rd June as we mark the occasion together. 🎂 session starts 915am, doors open at 9am at Greenside Methodist Church Gildersome

Fingers crossed for some sunshine as it’s looking promising ….please remember to bring a change of clothes for your little partygoers, as there’ll be plenty of water fun happening throughout the session and hopefully outside too ! 💦💛🫟

Please note: 📝 on Tuesday 30th June & 7th July we will be closed

And we will be back open on Tuesday 14th July for our end of term session! Where we will be sad to say goodbye to some of little graduates who will be starting there new adventures at school 🏫

Mmmm this weeks theme is all around Ice Cream

We all love a good cold ice cream in the sun, BUT as our great British weather 🌦️ is playing hide and seek with the Sunshine we thought we would create our own fun sun or no sun 🫣🤗
