🥳 Thank you to everyone that joined us yesterday to celebrate our 3rd Birthday!!!!

We certainly had a blast, lovely to see new faces and excitement of the children with the water trays was lovely to see!🚿 🤭

The cake went down very nicely too, yum yum 🥳 🎂

And we would like to take this opportunity to thank those who help make it possible…

Firstly a massive thanks to Debbie & Colleen, for the three years you have both been a big part of the success of this amazing project, cleaning, washing, helping in putting away everything after the sessions, donations and more . It’s those invaluable extra hands that keep us going !! Thank you for been a part of the messy team and going that extra mile 💖

Then our kitchen ladies , who again turn up week in week out to help us prepare snacks, offer drinks and wash up all the gacky, messy, slimy, basically the aftermath of messy times items… Gabby & Christine you are wonderful ladies thank you for coming in your free time to help 🥰

We would also like to mention Karen, as she might not make every session, but when she does, without been asked , steps up and gets her kids involved in the tidy up afterwards to …

There are now many others from our beautiful regular childminders, to grandparents and parents who now offer help, and just muck in and lend a hand, even just if it’s just collecting the ball pool balls 🫶 … more hands make light work …

We are lucky that we live in such a great community. As a none profit group we couldnt do any of this with out the help from those who turn up week in week out , come for just one session or in it for the long haul that help, everyone matters and makes a difference to help us keep this children’s development group going and growing …

🎉 We’re Celebrating Our 3rd Birthday! 🎉

It’s our 3rd birthday this week, and we’re so excited to be celebrating another wonderful milestone with all of you. 🎉🥳

We’d love for you to join us on Tuesday 23rd June as we mark the occasion together. 🎂 session starts 915am, doors open at 9am at Greenside Methodist Church Gildersome

Fingers crossed for some sunshine as it’s looking promising ….please remember to bring a change of clothes for your little partygoers, as there’ll be plenty of water fun happening throughout the session and hopefully outside too ! 💦💛🫟

Please note: 📝 on Tuesday 30th June & 7th July we will be closed

And we will be back open on Tuesday 14th July for our end of term session! Where we will be sad to say goodbye to some of little graduates who will be starting there new adventures at school 🏫

Mmmm this weeks theme is all around Ice Cream

We all love a good cold ice cream in the sun, BUT as our great British weather 🌦️ is playing hide and seek with the Sunshine we thought we would create our own fun sun or no sun 🫣🤗

Join us at 915am (doors open at 9am) on Tuesday 16th June at Greenside Methodist Church

Free refreshments plus a snack if you choose for your little people…

£3 per child or £2.50 for 3 or more children each ….

If you find the sun, please bring it with you

We want to take this time to say thank you to the Gildersome Parish Council for awarding us with a grant towards fencing and more resources.

Also, as the grant will not cover the all the outgoings , we would like to say thank you to Jon Graves, from Reform for donating a section of his wage to support our cause to help improve the development of our community group …

it’s an incredible thing that he’s giving up his wage to local community groups/clubs and charities … and is now also helping us find futher funding to cover our expenses 🫶

And it doesn’t stop there ! We would also like to say thank you to Alishaans for donating rice !

We are now so excited to build up our group with the new resources over the next few months due to this valuable input.

Thank you all for keeping our community group growing and supporting our cause …

This Tuesdays session will be focused on mixing, stirring, pouring and more in our 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗱 ꪑꫀડડꪗ 𝕥ⅈꪑꫀ play!

⏰Starting: 915am (doors open at 9) on Tuesday, just turn up !

📍Location: Greenside Methodist Church, Gildersome.

👕It is recommended to bring a change of clothes as we promote children not to be worried about making a mess & we do also have a water tray each week.

💷💳 𝙀𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙁𝙚𝙚: £3 per child or if you have 3 or more children it’s just £2.50 per child. Price includes unlimited refreshments , plus a snack for your little ones if you choose. 𝐂α𝗌ɦ & 𝐂α𝗋ᑯ accepted.

🙏 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀: If you can spare some time on a Tuesday morning we would love to hear from you, set up is 7.45am until 9 am and more hands make light work.

Did you know?

We’re a group of volunteers who started this messy play group after caring for children under 5. We saw how many little ones don’t always get access to the resources they need.

We also wanted to share something simple: you don’t need expensive toys to help your child learn and have fun.

We give our time for free to create spaces where children can play, get messy, and develop. Scooping, pouring, bending, picking up tiny pieces, squishing, squeezing, sticking, mark making, rolling, pushing, mixing, splashing, splatting... all of it helps your child grow.

And it’s more than just physical skills. It’s noisy, busy, and full of different personalities. By playing alongside others, children learn to share, listen, be kind, and build confidence in social situations, building confidence for school

Because learning through play shouldn’t cost a fortune, we are just covering costs at £3 per child or £2.50 if you have 3 children or more… which because we know how expensive it is now in this world this includes free unlimited tea or coffee or juice , plus a snack for your little people if you wish them to have it

So next time you are looking for something local to do, then come and find us on Tuesday Mornings at Greenside Methodist from 9am… session starts at 915am.

We recommend a change of clothes as we do live up to our group name “Messy Time”
