💖Wowww what a brilliant few weeks at Messy Time! It was amazing to see so many of our lovely regulars bouncing back through the door and just as exciting to welcome lots of brand new faces into our messy time little community!
The children absolutely threw themselves into the fun… squishing, squeezing, splattering, scooping , you name it, they did it! Watching them hold brushes, tubs, containers and tools with such focus is just incredible. All those tiny hand movements, grips and twists are building fine motor skills without them even realising. And the big movements? Kneeling, bending, lifting, pouring, stretching… that’s all brilliant physical development wrapped up in pure messy joy.
💬 But the best part? Socialisation!
Being around other children teaches soooo much …the good, the tricky, the “oops we’re learning!” moments. Some might think “Nooo, not bad behaviour!” but honestly… how does a child learn what not to do unless they’re around others? Pushing, snatching, shouting ! they learn what’s kind and what’s not by experiencing real interactions with children their own age. Leave all that to school and it becomes much harder.
🫶Here, they learn to play alongside others, share, laugh together, copy sounds, take turns… all those golden social skills that help them grow into confident little humans.
So next time you’re wondering, “Should we give it a go?” YES, absolutely! Bring your little people, let them get gloriously messy, and watch them learn more than you ever imagined.
And the best bit… we do the cleaning up 🫣🤣
