Coram Life Education, Hillingdon, offers an amazing programme that engages children and gives them skills to negotiate life. Misbourne Matins Rotary Club is happy to help support their visits to local schools.

Misbourne Matins Rotary Club was very involved with Chalfont St Peter’s Feast Day and Fringe week. Diana, Tony, and Susie attended the Feast Day organisers ‘thank you’ party at The Hub.

As there were five Wednesdays this month we did not have our usual breakfast meeting this morning but instead took a tour of the Battle of Britain Bunker at RAF Uxbridge. If you haven’t been, or haven’t been recently, it is an amazing place with wonderful volunteer guides explaining it all. Such foresight and ingenuity. It is thoroughly recommended and the cafe and exhibition centre is very nice too.

Misbourne Matins recently voted to buy a Shelterbox to go to Nepal after the devastating floods. We know it will get to where it is needed.

After catastrophic flash flooding hit the border of Nepal and Tibet, Rotary-linked charities including ShelterBox and Aquabox and Rotary clubs mobilised to provide shelter, clean water and longer-term support.

At our breakfast meeting this week we were delighted to welcome Geoffrey Scot-Baker, Assistant District Governor of Maroon Area, from Newbury Rotary Club as our Speaker. That’s a long way to come for 7.45am and we appreciated it. Geoffrey presented our President, Ray Clark, with his club’s banner, explaining the symbology of the design.
