Members of Misbourne Matins will be helping with the GX clean up.

The Best Kept Village Competition is nearly upon us!

The GX Town Clear Up Day will take place on Saturday 6th June from 10.30 to 12.30. Please meet by the flagpole on the turning circle with equipment to carry out the following tasks:

Weeding around shops, public areas and verges
Cleaning outside of litter bins to remove dirt, algae and chewing gum
Sweeping up general debris
Litter picking (we can provide some grabbers and bin bags)

If you cannot join us on Saturday 6th June, please do your bit - check outside your property or just spend half an hour cleaning one little bit of Gerrards Cross!

Please join in this community effort! The more the merrier.

Celia
Mayor, GX

At Misbourne Matins we like to support Chiltern Open Air Museum so when they had Jazz in the bandstand on Sunday a group of us went along. It was a chilly afternoon but the music was lovely.

On Wednesday 13th we have a Fellowship meeting. We will take the opportunity to share what we discovered when we visited other Rotary clubs during our scatter week. Did anyone visit a club overseas? I only went as far as Princes Risborough this time, where we had an evening meal and a speaker from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. When I visited Peachland, British Columbia they handed me an apron and put me to work on the BBQ. We will find out what happened to everyone. If you would like to join us for breakfast 7.45 for 8am start at Gerrards Cross Golf Club, please contact [email protected] by 8pm on Sunday 10th with your breakfast order - Full English £12, Continental £9, only tea/coffee £5 You would be very welcome.

At breakfast this morning we had a very informative talk from Fiona Brewer of Project Groundwater with additional information from Julie Scott of Chalfont St Peter Community Flood Group and despite the technical gremlins we enjoyed it very much.
