📦⛏️ THE TIME CAPSULE COMMITTEE™ 🤣 HAVE BEEN AT IT AGAIN! ⛏️📦

We met up with Digital Voice at Kibblesworth Village Millennium Centre today to start making plans for the big dig up… and reburying of the (or possibly a different!) time capsule 👀

📅 Saturday 24th October is the date we’re AIMING for - so get it pencilled in your diaries! 🗓️

We’re hoping to have fun for the kids during the day, followed by a 90s party at Kibblesworth Working Man's Club for the grown-ups that night! 🎶🕺💃

There’ll be opportunities in the run-up for everyone to get involved and add your own little piece of history to the new capsule. ❤️📦

Full details will follow, so keep an eye on the page and tag anyone who might have been involved back in 1996!

Not much longer to wait now… ⏳

🎉🎉 BIG NEWS… WE DID IT! 🎉🎉

It’s been a little while since our last update, but we promise this one has been worth the wait… 👀

🥳 We, along with Digital Voice, have been successful in our application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund! 🥳

This is a huge step forward for the Kibblesworth Time Capsule project and means we can now start planning the next stage of bringing our village’s history back to life before creating a brand new legacy for future generations. ⏳📦

Combined with the money we raised at our fundraising night (and with our collection pots still out in the village!), this gives us a fantastic foundation to create what we hope will be a truly memorable community event for everyone. 🎉💛

Now the real work begins! 💪 There’ll be plenty of planning, meetings and (hopefully!) lots more exciting updates to share so keep an eye on the page. 👀✨

30 years ago, I put a Take That single into the time capsule - the very year they split up! Never would have thought I’d be watching them live again in the exact year the capsule is due to be dug up ❤️🎶⏳

After adding up the raffle, bingo, Play Your Cards Right and the many generous donations we’ve received, we’ve raised an incredible…

🎉 £1,205 🎉

We genuinely can’t believe it.

A huge thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, donated a prize, came along on the night, shared a post, put money in a bucket or supported us in any way. This simply wouldn’t have happened without you ❤️

And that’s not even the final total yet! 👀

There are still donation tubs out and about in the village, so there’s a little more to come.

Now it’s time to get back to meetings, planning and getting that time capsule out of the ground! 📦⛏️

🤞 Fingers crossed we’re successful with the funding application so we can make it happen… and maybe even have another brilliant Kibby night out along the way! 🎤🍻
