Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

This week is a reminder that mental health matters—every single day, for every single person.

Life can be overwhelming, and it’s okay to not have everything figured out. It’s okay to pause, to rest, and to ask for help. Checking in on yourself is just as important as checking in on others.

Let’s use this week to:
💬 Start honest conversations
🤝 Support one another without judgment
🧠 Break the stigma around mental health
🌱 Prioritise self-care in ways that truly help us

If you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone—and if someone you know might be, a simple message or call can make a bigger difference than you think.

Be kind to your mind. 💚

Feeling confused about the EHCP process? You are not alone. 💙

EHCP stands for Education, Health and Care Plan.

It is designed to help children and young people who need extra support with learning and daily life in education.

Simple EHCP process overview:

1️⃣ A parent, school, or professional can request an EHCP assessment.

2️⃣ The local authority decides if an assessment will go ahead.

3️⃣ Professionals gather information about your child’s needs.

4️⃣ A draft EHCP may be created.

5️⃣ A final EHCP is issued with the support your child should receive.

The process can feel overwhelming, especially with paperwork, meetings, and waiting times.

Take it one step at a time.
Keep copies of documents.
Ask questions when needed.
Your voice as a parent or carer matters.

You know your child best. 🌟

May is Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD) Awareness Month!

🧠✨ Hypermobility & Neurodiversity in the UK 🇬🇧

Did you know there’s a growing connection being recognised between hypermobility (like joint hypermobility or EDS/HSD) and neurodivergence (such as autism, ADHD, and more)?

For many people across the UK, this overlap can mean:
💡 Sensory sensitivities
💡 Chronic pain or fatigue
💡 Coordination differences
💡 Unique ways of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world

But here’s the important part — these are not “flaws.” They’re part of a complex, diverse human experience that deserves understanding, support, and respect.

💬 Whether you’re diagnosed, self-identifying, or still figuring things out, you are not alone.
💙 There is a growing community raising awareness, sharing stories, and pushing for better healthcare and recognition.

Let’s keep the conversation going:
👉 Have you experienced this overlap?
👉 What has helped you feel supported?
