Not long to go until the Lads and Dads Charity Football Match, raising much needed funds for our St Bede's Palliative Care Unit.

We're looking for some recruits to join our dads team ahead of the big game 👀

There will also be a kids mini charity match kicking off at 1:00pm, ahead of the main event at 2:00pm 🏆

Thanks to Gateshead Health Charity funding, the QE has introduced Learning Disability Care Packs 🙌

Support Faye Collins as she takes on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge! ⛰️

On 30 August 2026, Faye is walking 24 miles across iconic three mountains, all in under 12 hours 👊

On her challenge, Faye said: “I’m raising money for St Bede’s at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, who cared for my dad with incredible compassion in his final weeks.

"It's nearly the two year anniversary since his passing, I’ll be walking in his memory every step of the way.

"If you can donate or share, you’ll help other families receive the same care we did and honour a wonderful husband, dad and grandad."

In the summer of 2019, Charlotte and David took a leap of faith 👣

After failed heartbreaking rounds of IVF treatment elsewhere, they made a hopeful but uncertain switch to the QE 👐

This is a story of hope, never giving up, and how a little bit of kindness goes a long way... 🥰
