Our October activities for adult caregivers give you the chance to meet and chat to other caregivers from across the borough. Check out what's on below!

⚽ You and the person you care for can replay, reminisce and reconnect on some of the biggest moments in sporting history at Sporting Memories.
☕ Pop in for a cuppa and a chat with other caregivers at our Carer's Coffee Morning.
👋 If you're age 18-25 come and meet our team in the Metrocentre for a chat at the Young Adult Carer Drop-in.
👪 Meet other parent carers for a chat about supporting your child with disabilities or long-term conditions at our new Parent Caregivers group.

All of our sessions are designing for unpaid caregivers to have a safe space to talk and take a break from your caring role.

We're certainly approaching spooky season now 🎃Take a look at some of our this month's groups and activities for young carers!

Location: Aidan House, Gateshead with travel throughout the borough

We're delighted to be exhibiting at the Gateshead Volunteer Recruitment Fair 2026, organised by Gateshead Volunteer Centre and powered by Connected Voice.

The fair takes place on Tuesday 13 October, 10am-1pm at Gateshead Leisure Centre and will bring together local organisations and residents interested in volunteering within their community.

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for making a real positive difference in your community?

As a Team Leader, you will work alongside our Operations Manager to support a dedicated team of triage and wellbeing workers, helping unpaid carers of all ages access the support they need.

Hours: 28 hours per week
Salary: Actual starting salary £19,748
Location: Aidan House, Gateshead (Office-based)
Closing date: 12th October 2026

• Proven team leadership and performance management experience
• Background in Health & Social Care and safeguarding
• Understanding of the challenges faced by both young and adult carers
