A-Level results day

To all the brilliant young carers getting their results today, well done!

Balancing studies, exams and caring for someone takes huge amounts of strength and dedication.

Whatever your results, you should be proud of how far you've come, and you should celebrate your achievements 🙌

The caregivers we support are in the experts in what services will help them the most. We want you to join us at our office for a cuppa and a conversation around the support you feel carers need. We call this an Expert Panel, which is made up on adult caregivers who advice and guide us on improving our services and planning our next steps 🎤

We have a very exciting activity this Saturday for young carers aged 10 and above! We'll be going to watch Newcastle United vs Bayer Leverkusen at St James' Park ⚽

Take a well-earned break from you caring role and watch the toon in a pre-season friendly football match.

On Wednesday we took a group of young carers for a fabulous day out at South Shields Beach! The gang had a great time building sandcastles and enjoying some fun in the sun, all while taking a well-earned break from their caring roles 🌞😎

The NHS App is a simple and secure way to see your health information, such as test results and appointment notes, and find NHS services.

Our Carer's Coffee Mornings are a great opportunity for you to take a short break from your caring role and join other local carers for a cuppa and a chat. Simply pop into Age UK on Gateshead High Street between 10am and 12pm and we'll help you settle in and stick the kettle on. Our team are always on hand to talk to if you'd like some information and advice about what support is available for carers.

Love sport? Join our Sporting Memories sessions in Dunston! ⚽🏅

We offer an age-friendly and dementia-friendly session that welcomes both caregivers and the people they care for to a fun fortnightly session around reminiscing, replaying and reconnecting with sports.
