After an astonishing 39 years after arriving from London to set up Bensham Grove Pottery, Christine Constant is planning to retire!

If you have enjoyed participating past or present in this wonderful creative space, please join us to say farewell and celebrate on Friday 12th June 7.30 for a ceilidh in the Community Hall.

We will provide tea, coffee and non-alcoholic refreshments. Please bring a dish for a 'Pot-Luck' buffet and a bottle. Partners and children also welcome.

What an amazing night we had for our 'Lates' event at Bensham Grove!
Pots were thrown on the wheel, painted and smoke fired while home-made cakes were savoured in the re-vamped lounge.

In the community hall Heaton Jukebox performed a brilliant set again, Abu gave us a unique spoken performance and delicious dahl was served with fresh flatbreads. There was a fabulous display of pottery and fused glass from the club members and outside the amazing Red Kite flew again courtesy of Gateshead Arts Team and The Riverside Routes Red Kite Festival.

In the main house friendship bracelets were made, Posies and Poems in the library, henna painting and Lucky Dip took up residence in the conservatory while Redeemed Arts found redemption in the hut and bargains were snapped up in the pot sale.

Massive congratulations to the new centre manager Claire Marie Hebron for bringing it all together and huge thanks to everyone who contributed towards making it such a brilliant event🥰
