Our handsome two-year-old Brambles has now had three meet and greets with potential adopters, but sadly, each time another cat has been chosen 😿💔

Despite being such an affectionate, playful boy with so much personality, Brambles is still waiting for someone to see just how special he is. As you can see, he's full of energy and loves his playtime! Although he's enjoying the extra space in our enrichment room, Brambles is used to spending time outdoors and is finding life at the centre increasingly frustrating.

We're hoping to find him a loving home with no other pets, suitable outdoor access and ideally a spacious garden where he can explore and play. He would be best suited to a home without young children, although older children could be a lovely match 🏡

Three times Brambles has been overlooked... but we're hoping the fourth time will be the one that changes his life! 💜

Could you give Brambles the chance he deserves? If not, please share his story and help us find someone who can! 🐾

At nine years old, our handsome Ebony has already experienced a heartbreaking change in his life, having sadly lost his beloved owner 💔 A family member had hoped to offer Ebony a new home, but this loyal boy kept returning to his familiar surroundings, crossing busy roads along the way. With his safety at risk, Ebony came into our care with the hope of finding him a fresh start.

Despite everything he's been through, Ebony remains a lovely, affectionate boy who enjoys his food, plenty of attention, and, of course, a good cuddle!

We're now hoping to find Ebony a loving home where he can settle, feel safe, and enjoy the companionship he deserves. After losing so much of what was familiar to him, we'd love nothing more than to see this sweet boy find happiness again 🏡

Could you be the one to give Ebony his next chance at happiness? If so, we'd love to hear from you! And, if you're not in a position to adopt this lovely lad, please consider sharing his story to help us find someone who can 🐈‍⬛🖤

🚨 Important travel information for our Halloween Open Day! 🚨

Planning to join us on Friday 30 October? If you're travelling from north of the River Tyne, please be aware of an upcoming closure which may affect your journey.

🌉 The Tyne Bridge will be fully closed to vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists from 11pm on Friday 23 October until 5am on Monday 2 November. Significant disruption is expected, with alternative routes including the Swing Bridge, Redheugh Bridge, A1, A19, Tyne Tunnel and Scotswood Bridge likely to be busier than usual.

🚇 If you're able to, public transport may be a convenient alternative:

•Felling Metro: Approximately 10–15 minutes' walk from the centre.

•Heworth Metro and Bus Station: Approximately 25 minutes' walk.

•Gateshead Interchange: Take the number 93 bus from Stand C and alight at Abbotsford Road - Green Lane, just around the corner from the centre.

Our first-ever Halloween Open Day is a wonderful opportunity to raise much-needed funds for the cats in our care, and we hope the disruption won't prevent you from joining us! Please plan your journey in advance, allow extra travel time and check for updates before setting off 🐈‍⬛🎃🖤👻

Fantastic news! 🎉

EDIT: Willow has been reserved ♥️

- Wonderful Willow ✨️

At 14 years young, Willow is ready for one very important thing: a peaceful retirement home to call her own! Could you lend a helping paw and share her story? 🐾

Willow came into our care after finding life in a busy household a little overwhelming. What she needs now is a calm, understanding adult-only home with no other pets, where she can settle at her own pace and enjoy her golden years with all the attention to herself 🏡

Older cats can make wonderful companions, and Willow still has so much to offer the right person. She deserves to spend this next chapter feeling safe, settled, and very much loved 💜

Could you be the special someone Willow has been waiting for? If so, we'd love to hear from you! 😸

Fantastic news! 🎉

Lovella is packing her bags, she's off to her 🏡🐈💜

with Tinkerbell 🧚🏻‍♀️

At 15 years young, our lovely Tinkerbell has sadly been waiting since the summer for someone to give her a retirement home 😿 As the months pass, we're still hoping someone special will come along and give this beautiful girl her next chance at happiness! 🤞🏻

Tinkerbell has already experienced more change than any cat should have to in their golden years. After losing her first owner, she found a wonderful new home, but sadly, her adopter became very unwell and could no longer care for her. She's currently with one of our wonderful fosterers, where she's shown just how much love she has to give. Although initially shy, Tinkerbell soon discovered the joys of gentle strokes and curling up on a warm lap! 🥰

She's looking for a quiet, adult-only home with no other pets, where she can spend her retirement feeling safe, loved, and cherished 🏡

Adopting an older cat can be such a rewarding experience, and senior cats like Tinkerbell still have so much love and companionship to offer. At 15 years old, we'd love nothing more than to see this beautiful girl enjoying her golden years in a peaceful, loving home with all the comfort, care, and affection she deserves.

Could you give Tinkerbell her ? If so, we'd love to hear from you! And if you're unable to offer her a home, a simple share could help her story reach someone who can 💜
