We really enjoyed making pies while singing and dancing to the beats!

This looks great

Coming soon to Saltwell Park!🛝

We are investing in a brand-new junior play area at Saltwell Park, which will be installed this autumn, and are excited to share what it will look like.

The new play equipment will include:

- a 9 metre tower to encourage more adventurous play
- lots of ground level activities to help younger children and those less confident to get involved
- quieter areas to help children take time way from busier areas of the park if needed.

With funding from the UK Government's Pride in Place Impact Fund, we have worked with playground and outdoor fitness designer and manufacturer KOMPAN, to create something ambitious, adventurous and memorable for Gateshead - a true centrepiece for Saltwell Park.

Great week for pies and plants this week.

Our community garden in Blaydon has produced lots of fruit.

Check out tomorrow’s freshly made corned beef pie, prepped, cooked and cool and ready for service from 12 tomorrow at The Tynesider

Grab yourself a wodge of fresh pie, creamed mash, peas and gravy.

Only £7.50 to sit in or £6.50 takeaway.

Our most purposeful pie day so far today!

Here’s our star Vegetarian Cheese pie, which was 3rd inline at n sales today with Mince being the favourite and Corned Beef a close second.

If we can sell ours in 30 degrees till on Autumn and our lovely homemade pies.

Our pastry has 2 ingredients, Flour and butter, with a splash of water….mmm.

Did we mention children are welcome in The Tynesider ?

Today we had these two lovelies trying out our pies, we were very impressed with them both tucking in, even with onions!

Brooke Taylor is one third of our Board of Directors and has been involved with Gateshead Community Organisation since we started in 2018.

She was well impressed with the results of our new Pie in the Sky project.

More fresh pies just coming out of the oven now ready for our busy Boomers day tomorrow.
