Isn't it amazing what a couple of days of graft can do. Our amazing PhD student Raine Robinson along with Owen and five young people from Gateshead Youth Assembly have transformed both back yards at Gladstone Terrace. This film is just one side! Very very impressed, and grateful.

If anyone has kids aged 9-16 and are getting free school meals, this HAF creative project might be just what they need during the holidays. Based at the ONE centre (in Stonehills) Lunch provided.
There are also paid places for people who don't qualify for free school meals.

We are glad it's almost the weekend!
This week we have had a celebratory meal out with our Young Inspectors thanks to The Key. We met Helen, the independent Safeguarding chair on Tuesday, who came to GYA to tell us about her role and last night we were at the Premier of the Blossom 🌸 project film, created between GYC, Digital Voice and National Trust. Out on the town tonight with our AZIDRA group to Aneesas buffet. Special thanks to The Key for enabling our group to have a treat and well done to the group for arranging it. Its taken weeks to find an evening most could make!

So, massive thanks to The Key. We had two groups nominated in three categories and our Funky Phoenixes won theirs. We (GYC) won a category we didnt even know we were nominated for! Absolutely delighted. Its an absolute privilege to be able to do the work we do with some of the most incredible young people, and it's an honour to be recognised.
