B**b Club will be running through the summer holidays!

We know the need for connection, support and a friendly chat doesn’t stop during the summer holidays… so neither do we!

Our free, friendly and welcoming social breastfeeding support group will be running most weeks, so whether you’re feeding a newborn or an active toddler, we’d love to see you.

Here’s a list of confirmed dates for the holidays so far, the others will be confirmed closer to the time. On the 29th July we’ll have exclusive use of the hall so will use the larger room. While older siblings are always welcome to come along to B**b Club, we’ll take this opportunity to get more, older toys out (like the St Helens Toddler group), some craft supplies etc so this will be a good opportunity to bring older ones.

Thank you to everyone who came along to B**b Club this morning! It was so lovely to see you all 😊

Just a little heads-up for next week…

There will be no B**b Club on Wednesday due to school appointments, but don’t worry, we’re swapping it for a special one-off Friday session instead!

On Friday 10th July between 1:00pm – 3:00pm we’ll be in our usual spot in the upper hall, while the St Helens Toddler Group will be in the lower hall at the same time.

Feel free to move between the two groups! And if you’re one of our lovely former B**b Club mums who’s now back at work, we’d absolutely love it if you popped in to say hello with your little one.

We can’t wait to see you all next Friday!

What an incredible evening at the Gateshead Awards 2026!

I am absolutely delighted to share that I won the Volunteer of the Year Award!

Being nominated for starting B**b Club was already such an amazing honour, but to be recognised in this way is truly overwhelming. You can tell by the look of shock on my face 😂

What started as a small idea to create a supportive, welcoming space for breastfeeding women has grown into a wonderful community and that is all thanks to the amazing people who have been part of the journey.

I want to say a huge thank you to Beverley Armstrong who encouraged me to start B**b Club, St Helens Church Low Fell Gateshead who believed in what we were doing and gave B**b Club a home, Victoria Smith and everyone who voted for me, sent messages of support, and wished me luck. Your kindness, encouragement and belief in B**b Club over the years means more than I can put into words.

Most importantly, thank you to every mum who has attended a session, shared their experiences, supported one another and helped make B**b Club the special community it is today. This award belongs to all of us because it would be nothing without you all❤️

I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved together, and I look forward to my continued role in supporting the community and meeting all of the mums and babies who are yet to walk through our door.
