Thanks so so much to Jonathon Tulloch for invting our volunteers and community workers to see Gerry and Sewell at the press night. We loved it so so much!! A brilliant treat, catered for by BRILLIANT!! Looking after the people who look after the people!! Brilliant!!

Teams and Dunston Alive volunteers were given a great treat this evening by author and journalist Jonathon Tulloch.

He invited members of the Connected Voice, Bensham Grove Glenpark & Teams Medical Services volunteers Abu, Muhammad, J, Roy, Mehru Nisa, Richard, Lucy, Christine Frazer and Tony to see Jamie Eastlakes Gerry and Sewell at Newcastle Theatre Royal
It was the press night, a seat in the stalls and Greggs Pasties and Purely Belter Beer at the interval were among the highlights of this amazing evening.

The play was brilliant and for some a first theatre visit. Very special and very wonderful. Thank you for giving your press passes to the people in the community who look after the people. We can't thank you enough.

We are dog friendly & always have been for the last 11 years! As we get busier for the nicer weather we would like to remind all of our lovely customers of our dog rules…

- Dog are welcome however our staff don’t stroke your lovely dogs to keep our standard of hygiene.

- Just as some dogs are nervous of people, some people are also nervous of dogs so please just remember to keep your dogs on their leash at all times & keep them close to you at all times.

- We have dog blankets in the baskets upstairs & downstairs, please feel free to use them on the floor for your dogs to lie on & on the sofas downstairs & upstairs for your dogs to sit nicely on.

- If your dog is barking & being disruptive our staff have been trained to ask you to take your dog outside for a few minutes to calm it down however you’re always welcome back in.

- We have dog bowls behind the counter for water or if your dog is after any food/treats, please don’t let your dogs eat or drink out of any dishes we use for our customers.

- No dogs noses or paws on tables or our counters! Our staff will ask you to take your dog off tables & down from the counter.

We want you to enjoy your experience with us whether you have dogs or not therefore if we could be respectful of our rules, respect our staff when asked to follow the rules & be respectful of other customers around you please.
