What a beautiful afternoon of culture, creativity and community last Saturday! 💜🧵✨

Poised2Excel CIC was delighted to support New Hope Northeast at their wonderful Celebrating Culture Through Sewing event.

The turnout was fantastic, and the atmosphere was warm, vibrant and full of joy. It was such a pleasure to be part of an occasion that brought people together to celebrate culture, creativity, talent and community spirit.

The food was absolutely amazing, and the event was made even more special by the presence of the Mayor and Mayoress of South Tyneside.

A huge well done to New Hope Northeast and everyone involved in making the day such a success. We are grateful to have shared in such a memorable afternoon and to support the valuable work taking place within our community.

At Poised2Excel CIC, we are always pleased to stand alongside organisations that promote inclusion, connection and stronger communities. ❤️

Sometimes, you don’t need a big plan… you just need to get out of the house, grab a coffee and have someone to talk to. ☕🌹

At Tina Rose Café & Garden, our staff don’t just serve you — we make time for conversation too. Come in on your own, order your favourite caramel latte, sit down and feel at home.

Because sometimes good coffee + good conversation = a brighter day. ❤️

Sip • Relax • Restore.

At Poised2Excel CIC, we are deeply inspired by the legacy Dolly Parton leaves behind. Her commitment to children, literacy and creating opportunities for future generations reflects the kind of lasting impact we believe in.

Her kindness, generosity and vision will continue to touch lives for years to come. May her soul rest in eternal peace. ❤️🙏🏽

We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Dolly Parton. 🫶

Cllr Wendy Taylor, Newcastle City Council’s Cabinet member for integrated health and adult social care, said: “Dolly was an inspiration and a rare unifier in an increasingly polarised world, changing countless lives for the better.

“Here in Newcastle, through our work with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, thousands of children have received free books.

“Not only has that helped our ambition to give every child the best start but its positive impact on family literacy will be a legacy that will be felt for generations to come.

“Though we grieve her loss with the rest of the world that work will continue, and we hope that Dolly will continue to inspire a love of reading in the hearts of children everywhere.”

Since May 2025 more than 3,000 children have signed up for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in Newcastle, with over 15,700 books given out.

Poised2Excel CIC joins millions around the world in mourning the passing of the incomparable Dolly Parton.

She sang songs that made us cry, built a theme park in the mountains where she grew up, and quietly sent books to millions of children. Although celebrated for her beauty, glamour and unmistakable style, Dolly showed us that true beauty lies in generosity, education and giving others the opportunity to dream.

Dolly Parton was more than the Queen of Country Music—she was a force of nature who reshaped what it meant to be an artist, philanthropist and role model. Through her beloved Imagination Library, she demonstrated her deep love of books and gave the precious gift of reading to generations of children.

Now she is gone, but her music, kindness and extraordinary legacy will live on. Our heartfelt condolences go to her family, friends and everyone whose life she touched.

The world is quieter today. Goodbye, Dolly. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
