The young women involved were absolutely brilliant throughout the day, showing incredible confidence and creativity both in front of and behind the camera. Their enthusiasm and willingness to step outside their comfort zones was inspiring to see, and they should all be very proud of what they achieved.đź’ś

As we wrap up Mental Health Week, we want to remind every young woman going through difficult times that you are not alone. đź’ś
From all of us at the young women’s project — keep going, keep talking, and keep believing in yourself, even on the hard days. There is strength in asking for help, healing in being heard, and hope in every new day.
Be kind to yourself. Rest when you need to. Reach out when things feel heavy. Your feelings are valid, your story matters, and brighter days can come.

Our staff team were lucky enough to take part in some incredibly powerful trauma-informed training focused on supporting young people who have experienced or witnessed domestic abuse.
Using state-of-the-art VR headsets, the training gave a real insight into the impact of trauma and how we can better support young people in a safe, understanding and compassionate way.

Good luck to all the Year 11 students starting their GCSE exams today 🍀✨
Remember — these exams are only one small part of who you are. They may measure academic ability in a moment of time, but they do not measure your kindness, resilience, creativity, humour, compassion, determination, or the impact you have on the people around you. Those things matter just as much — if not more.
Work hard, try your best, and be proud of how far you’ve already come. Whatever happens over the next few weeks, your worth is not defined by grades on a piece of paper.
Wishing you all calm minds, confidence, and plenty of belief in yourselves. You’ve got this 💜

There’s something special about giving young people space to create without pressure 💎✨
These gorgeous diamond art key rings were made by our young women and while their hands were busy placing each tiny gem, something even more meaningful was happening. The distraction of the activity helped conversations flow, and reminded us that sometimes it’s not about sitting face-to-face and asking big questions — it’s about creating a relaxed environment where connection can happen naturally.
So proud of their creativity, and even more proud of the honest conversations that came with it 💬💙
