Metrocentre Easter Raffle in aid of Willow Burn Hospice.
What a lovely morning drawing the raffle raising an incredible
£1,127.50
Through the epic effort of Charlene from Environmental Services and the generosity of everyone who bought tickets, we have been able to support all those involved in the hospice, staff, patients and their families.
Thankyou so much.
We were joined by the hospice mascot Will, O@Burn who will be back in Exhibition Square for the Spring Tea Dance on Monday 20th April between 1 and 3 pm. Everyone is welcome, hope to see you there.

As professionals you are welcome to pop along anytime with or without carers and their loved ones, whether you want to catch up with us directly or bring someone along with you to help support their attendance, everyone is welcome.
If anyone can't make it for 13:00 don't worry, just drop in when you can for as long as you can.

Another wonderful Metrocentre Tea Dance today. Huge thankyou to Julie Venton School of Dance, the Metrocentre Team and the stars of the show, our oh so talented dancers. One of the loveliest things to see is the pleasure you bring to our visitors. Time out of what can be a stressful time, to relax watching you. See you next year.

Good morning
It's the weekend, I wanted to invite you to take a breath and consider what you've achieved this week. We're all so busy getting things done, sometimes we don't see how much we do and the positive effect it has. In the Community Hub, so many different organisations are doing invaluable work. Offering support to a wide range of people from babies to seniors. Local schools and charities benefit from community projects and centre events, offering free or low cost activities while raising much needed funds.
Here's a snapshot of what we achieved together in Q2 April, May and June 2025:
86 social sustainable activities took place.
44+ different organisations were supported to work with their clients.
7664 people engaged in social initiatives.
£12,450 worth of free space was donated to local charities.
£2776 was raised for local charities through centre events.
400 + school age students were involved in Newcastle United Foundation led employability skills sessions, benefiting from engagement with 33 employers.
73 people supported into work via United for Careers programme.
2 school immunisation clinics were held for children who missed their appointments at school.
“The Health Protection of the school population has certainly improved by having this as a venue. We are proud of our partnership with the Community Hub and deliver one of the most successful school immunisation programmes in the UK”.
