Changeworks Connects: Perfect Storm

Rural Scotland is facing a perfect storm of overlapping and growing challenges including fuel poverty, ageing housing stock, climate impacts, and constrained supply chains.

In mid-June, Changeworks will launch an update of the 2023 ‘Perfect Storm’ report, examining how fuel poverty in rural Scotland has changed, which drivers of fuel poverty remain most acute, and what action is needed from the UK and Scottish Governments, local authorities, housing providers and delivery partners (www.changeworks.org.uk/insights/a-perfect-storm-fuel-poverty-in-rural-scotland/)

This webinar will present findings from the report, and following the presentation, Matthew Cole, chair of the Scottish Government Fuel Poverty Advisory Panel will reflect on the findings and draw links with the Panel’s recommendations to Scottish Government. The team will then facilitate a discussion:

Reflecting on the scale of fuel poverty and retrofit challenges in rural Scotland
Exploring gaps in the advice, retrofit and funding ecosystem
Identifying practical opportunities for collaboration, partnerships and advocacy
Connecting local expertise and knowledge with national insight, policy and delivery
