Garswood Art Group is a group for locals interested in painting, drawing or other mediums. You don't have to be a professional, in fact if you've never even picked up a paintbrush before you're more than welcome to come along and join in. The group meets at the Methodist Church on Victoria Road on a Monday morning at 10am - 12am and Tuesday evening at 8pm - 10pm but many members only attend one of
the sessions. A yearly subscription is £5.00 and then you just pay £2.00 each time you come to the group. The fees cover the cost of the room hire and demonstrations from external artists. The group currently has a variety of members from the professional to the complete amateurs and those in between. It is a supportive and fun environment to learn or develop your skills. As well as demonstrations from external artists we also have regular demonstrations from our members so that you can learn from a variety of sources about a variety of mediums.
