Garstang Arts Centre Set in the very heart of Garstang, Garstang Arts Centre is the focal point for local arts of all types, and home to Garstang and District Art Society.

In 1969 members of the community who were interested in all forms of Art formed Garstang and District Arts Society. The Arts Centre, which is supported by the Town Trust, is open to all members of the public who wish to join any of our groups. We also hold free lunchtime concerts in the summer and regular Craft and Collectors Fairs. Our groups offer a huge variety of activities, there’s something for everyone. OPENING TIMES

Our Autumn Craft Fair is this Saturday 26th at the Garstang Arts Centre!🍂🍁

See beautiful wood turned pieces, hand made notebooks, an array of textiles, jewellery and more.

Come escape the torrential down pour at the Creative Art Group this evening! 🫟🖌️☔️

Every Friday evening, 7 - 9pm
At the Garstang Arts Centre

Whether you’re a seasoned painter, or occasional sketcher, you’re welcome here! No pressure – just a relaxed evening to work on your projects, share ideas, and meet like-minded people who share your passion for art.

Run by enthusiastic artists, the group offers professional guidance if required, helpful feedback, while sharing techniques and practical tips – and of course, a lot of fun arty chat, because great art doesn’t have to take itself too seriously!

Garstang Ukulele Group will be strumming in the Courtyard (weather permitting) 11.15 - 12.30 followed by ‘Sounds Right’ a 7 piece Swing Band performing in the Music Room 1pm - 2pm. FREE Concert - Donations are always welcome. 🎷🎷

Capturing snippets of picturesque Garstang from the River Wyre, the buzzing high street championing local businesses, and winding cobbled paths.

Try the intricate art of papercutting - learn the history of Chinese papercutting, methods and techniques through making your own!

Chinese Calligraphy
6 - 7:30pm
Learn the beautiful script styles and basic principles of calligraphy through a guided writing practice.

We have a jam packed week here at the Arts Centre with the events running for the Arts and Music Festival

Tonight we have Andy Stewart’s talk “Field Notes” on wildlife photography that promises to be highly entertaining! 📸

THURSDAY

A very musical day!

11:15am - 12:30pm we have the fabulous Garstang Ukulele Group playing in the courtyard (inside if the rain comes) 🎶🎵

1pm - 2pm is our Lunchtime Concert featuring The Marton Singers with songs from Musical Theatre and Gilbert & Sullivan - free donations welcome.

FRIDAY

Is the John Towers Big Band Performance! A 16 Piece Big Band you don’t want to miss! Door open 6:30pm for a 7:30 start - free donations welcome

See a day of workshops!

Chinese Papercutting 3pm - 4:30pm
A blend of Chinese People’s culture, wisdom and creativity with Mannie Sun
All the materials are provided. People will be able to take their paper-cuts home
Tickets £5

Introduction to Chinese Calligraphy 6pm - 7:30pm
With Yanqi Lao taking you through scripts styles, basic principles and guided writing practice!
All the materials are provided and participants will be able to take their work home.
