As our 8-week Employability Course comes to an end, we just want to say how proud we are of our Galashiels group! 💙

It’s been lovely to see everyone grow in confidence over the last eight weeks, learn new skills and start to recognise what they have to offer employers.

Everyone has put in effort and shown real progress, and it’s been great to be part of that journey.

A big well done to the whole group - you should all be proud of how far you’ve come! 👏 We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you all 🌟

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Works+ has been awarded a major funding boost of £167,000 from the Kavli Trust.

This fantastic three-year grant will allow us to expand our Doing It Differently programme, enabling us to support even more young people aged 16 to 25 across the Scottish Borders into employment, education, or training.

Following our busiest year yet, this generous investment provides us with vital long-term stability and means we can reach even more individuals who need it most.

Thank you to the Kavli Trust for believing in us and for investing in the future of young people across the Scottish Borders.

A £167,000 investment from Kavli Trust will support Galashiels-based charity Works+, helping 150 young people in the Scottish Borders find work or training.

What a day for some transport training to St Abbs! 🚌🌊☀️

Not only did we have a fab trip out in the sunshine, but we also met the friendliest wee dog, Jack, who gave us a very special welcome! 🐶💛 Ruby got in some valuable barista training ☕️, and we learnt an important lesson along the way — sometimes things don’t go to plan, but you can always adapt, overcome and keep going! 💪

A big shout out to Borders Pottery for their generous tea tokens for those who need a little headspace, a cuppa and some time to themselves. 💕☕️ Mental health matters.

Well done everyone — you absolutely smashed it! 👏✨

Interviews can be hard — and that’s exactly why we practise!

At Works+, we support our participants to build confidence and experience through mock interviews, giving them a safe space to practise, learn and prepare for the real thing. 🙌

Well done everyone — you should be proud of yourselves- and huge thanks to our wonderful volunteers who helped make this happen! 👏💙
