We're taking part in the Galashiels Guising Trail! 🎃

Our lovely Saturday volunteers will be ready to give all you little ghosts, witches and monsters a warm welcome, with plenty of treats in exchange for your tricks!

Galawe’en – a FREE Halloween event in the heart of Galashiels! 🎃

The main attraction is our Galashiels Guising Trail, where little ghosts and ghouls can explore the town, visit participating local businesses and collect treats along the way!

There’s even more FREE Halloween fun to enjoy, including face painting, so bring the family along for a spooktacular day out!

Did you know that any medical professional can make a referral to us? 💜

At The Lavender Touch, we support anyone in the Scottish Borders living with cancer, as well as their loved ones.

We help fund complementary therapies, including massage, reflexology and aromatherapy, to offer comfort and support during what can be a difficult time.

Each treatment can be tailored to suit individual needs, helping to ease stress, anxiety and some of the symptoms associated with cancer and its treatment.

If you feel our therapies could be helpful, you can speak to your GP, nurse or another healthcare professional involved in your care about making a referral.

We're pleased to be registered with Making A Difference Cards, a lovely way to support The Lavender Touch while sending a card to someone special.

There's a beautiful selection of cards for all occasions, with the option to include a charity donation when you order.

We particularly love this Purple Blooms design, although there are plenty of others to choose from 💜

If you're looking for a card for an upcoming birthday, anniversary or simply to keep in touch, it's a lovely way to support our work at the same time.

Our next Rummage Sale is coming up – and every bag filled helps us continue supporting people living with cancer and their loved ones in the Scottish Borders.

Come along on Saturday 31st October and fill a £5 or £10 bag from the items available at our unit in Tweedbank Industrial Estate.

These Rummage Sales are about much more than clearing out our unit. Every £5 and £10 bag adds up, helping The Lavender Touch continue providing support to people living with cancer and their loved ones in the Scottish Borders.

It was a bumper August for fundraising and raising awareness of The Lavender Touch, with St Boswells Car Booters raising a fantastic £1,040.

A very special thank you to the Scottish Borders Woodturners.

On Saturday 12th September 2026, The Lavender Touch was delighted to meet with the organisers of the Scottish Borders Woodturners to gratefully accept a wonderful donation of £528.00.

The weekend was an especially significant one for the woodturners group as they celebrate their 20th anniversary – twenty years of bringing people together through skill, creativity, friendship and a shared love of woodturning.

We are incredibly grateful that, as part of their celebrations and ongoing support for our local community, they have chosen to support The Lavender Touch.

Every donation we receive helps us continue providing complementary therapies to people affected by cancer across the Scottish Borders. Behind every cheque is the generosity of people who have given their time, talents, support and generosity – and that means so much to us.

Congratulations to everyone at the Scottish Borders Woodturners on 20 wonderful years, and thank you for helping us continue to make a difference.

Our recent Rummage Sale raised an amazing £2100 for The Lavender Touch.

We know there’s something special about having a rummage and finding a gem, but the day is also a wonderful fundraising effort for a cause that means so much to us within the Scottish Borders.

Hundreds of volunteer hours go into bringing the Rummage Sale together, from collecting and sorting donations to setting up, helping on the day and clearing everything away afterwards.

It’s a real team effort, with every hour helping us raise funds to support people living with cancer and their loved ones across the Scottish Borders.

So while finding a bargain is certainly part of the fun, every bag filled and every purchase made helps make those volunteer hours count.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, came along and supported the day. We couldn’t do it without you.

A Small Charity Providing a Big Service 💜

The Lavender Touch is a small, local charity providing a big service - supporting people across our region who are living with cancer, as well as their loved ones.

Each year, we provide hundreds of complementary therapy treatments, offering moments of care, comfort and support when they are needed most. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our wonderful fundraisers and donors.
