Gairloch Coastal Rowing Club

Gairloch Coastal Rowing Club We are a skiff rowing club based at Gairloch Harbour with our boat Longa. New members always welcome.

As we have achieved that objective, we now hope to encourage more people to join the club, and take part in rowing - either competitively or as a social activity.

Help us fundraise for our clubs - Gairloch Boat Club and Gairloch Rowing Club - and also donating to Gairloch Aid & Mobility Support - GAMS and Gairloch Community Car Scheme & Hospital Car!! As you can see, the donations were fabulous and there's lots of great items to be distributed. Please come down and join us on Saturday for our Clubs' Open Day. We will be serving delicious home made teas as well as offering taster sessions (booking advisable) so come along and make a morning of it! See you on Saturday between 10 and 2 near the blue gazebo close to the slipway.

It took a lot of planning and organising from Roger and Sue but today we finally set ‘sail’ to row the 24km of Loch Maree, from Tollie Farm to the very end of this gorgeous and challenging Loch.
Twenty rowers, 4h40min rowing time, 6.5 hours of fun - starting at 7am and scattered by the midges around 3:30pm 🦟🦟🦟
Five legs, from Tollie Farm stopping to change crews at Slattadale, Loch Maree Hotel, Letterewe pier, car park (GR980674) and to the very end of the Loch - coming back to gather at Beinn Eighe main car park to bring Longa back to the trolley, a picnic, Nic’s traditional celebratory Port 🍷, lots of talking, laughing, chatting with fantastic people + flowers 💐& prosecco 🍾for the extraordinary event organisers!!!
What a brilliant day had by all!
