GIB team planted up Morton Corner beds with perennials yesterday. Plants sourced through Evelyn at Laughton who donates funds to Cancer Research UK. Should look good next spring onwards.

Sorry for the late notice but we need to clear the planters in readiness for the winter planting.
We will be meeting tomorrow Saturday 1st November at Roseway at 1pm and anyone able to help is very welcome as we are a few volunteers short.
Just bring a pair of gardening gloves.
We plan to put pansies in all the planters next Saturday weather permitting. Please watch this space.

We were delighted to present the awards to the winners of the following categories at our meeting last Friday 3rd October and have attached the photos

Mel Cutforth - Manager of Marshalls Yard which achieved a Gold award and was outright winner of the East Midlands in Bloom category for Best Retail Park

Rob and Pat Ewens - owners of Hickman Hill Hotel who achieved a Gold award and were outright winners of the Best pub/hotel category in the East Midlands.

Amanda Clarke - who was given the judges award for her work across the allotments in Gainsborough, encouraging community participation in growing.

Well done to all concerned and all the volunteers, helpers and our sponsors (Cliff Bradley Funeral Directors, Horsleys, Browns Department Store) for helping to put Gainsborough on the map with In Bloom.

Just wanted to thank everyone who helped with judging day earlier this month. The town looked great and we think the judges were impressed. We will get the results on September 24th at the East Midlands in Bloom awards day and will post them here and on the website.
