Fuel update: Brent crude has eased back, falling to around $96.47 per barrel on Wednesday morning, down just over 3% on the day. The market is reacting to signs of progress in US-Iran talks, although tensions around the Strait of Hormuz are still keeping prices volatile.

Brent is still sitting at a very high level, around $106 to $107 per barrel, and the market remains jumpy. For UK farmers, that means fuel costs are unlikely to ease meaningfully unless geopolitical risk reduces and supply confidence improves.
