Frome Birth Talk is a crucial Frome charity that we are proud to host twice a week at The Good Heart - Tiny Hearts is a free, friendly, drop-in for under 5s and their grown ups and Tiny Rainbow Hearts is once a month and caters for LGBTQ+ families.

The charity provides free and low-cost counselling and community support to local parents facing some of the most challenging periods of their lives. In 2025 they supported hundreds of local families when they needed it most.

Despite months of fundraising and numerous grant applications they have found themselves without funds and will have to suspend their counselling waiting list to new referrals. They want to raise 10K by 11 October so if you are able to donate, share this appeal, or introduce them to someone who may be able to help, they would be incredibly grateful.

EMERGENCY FUNDRAISING APPEAL | PROTECT PARENTS' MENTAL HEALTH

A single mum of three who used our services told us: "I wouldn't be here if it weren't for Frome Birth Talk." Another mother told us: "My counsellor at FBT has genuinely saved me from myself. I am no longer broken by my past."

Despite months of fundraising and numerous grant applications, unless we receive a significant injection of funding by the 11th of October 2026, we will have to suspend our counselling waiting list to new referrals. Our immediate goal is to raise £10,000 to keep the waiting list open and continue accepting parents who need support. Even better, £20,000 would give us valuable breathing space while we secure longer-term funding.

New Volunteer wanted!

Are you looking to get experience in a kitchen, or a hospitality role on your CV? Perhaps you just love to cook? The Good Heart is a non-profit CIC in Frome that does affordable lunches for everyone - Pay It Forward also available.

No experience in a professional kitchen needed just a willingness to learn.

Times: Mondays and /or Friday - 10-2:30pm.
